Trusting the Gold

“The gold of our true nature can never be tarnished. In the moments of remembering and trusting this basic goodness of our Being, we open to happiness, peace, and freedom.”

Tara Brach, Trusting the Gold

Drawing on over 40-years experience as a psychologist and meditation teacher, Trusting The Gold features Dr. Brach’s insights, practices and Buddhist wisdom to help us uncover and trust the innate goodness in ourselves and others.

The Buddha described the core of our suffering as not remembering who we really are. We leave home when we live in limiting stories that cover over our natural wisdom and loving heart.

Do we have basic goodness? What are the evolutionary roots of altruism, lovingkindness and other expressions of our most valued human capacities? How do we evolve our hearts and consciousness?

During this afternoon workshop, Tara will be joined by Rick Hanson, Ph.D., author of Neurodharma, as we reflect together on these questions and explore practices that awaken trust in the loving awareness that is the source of all being.

Our time together will include a talk, guided meditation and time for inquiry and sharing.

The workshop includes your own copy of the beautifully illustrated book Trusting the Gold.

The book will be mailed after the event to participants with the current U.S. mailing address. We cannot mail the book internationally. If you are joining us from outside of the U.S., we have options for you, please email sona@opencenter.org before registering for the event.

Scholarships to attend the event are available.

Note: This program will be offered online. Sessions of all our online programs will be recorded and shared with registrants after each is completed for 90 days.
