DESCRIPTION: \nRadical Love in These Times\nA Half-Day Retreat with Tara Brach\nSaturday\, December 7th | 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM (ET)\nIn-Person and Online__________\nThe moment we choose to love\, we begin to move towards freedom\, to act in ways that liberate ourselves and others. ~bell hooks \nChoosing love means bringing a courageous and kind attention to the places inside where you feel distress or vulnerability; places where you feel cut off from your own heart and from others. The gift is a spiritual awakening that naturally ripples through all our relationships. Our time together will include short talks\, guided meditations and reflections\, small group sharing and time for inquiry. \nThe informal title for this gathering is Calling all Bodhisattvas (awakening beings)\, which\, my friends\, is you! Please join us in person or online…we need each other to heal our hearts\, brighten our spirits and to serve our precious world. \nThis program is available IN-PERSON and ONLINE VIA ZOOM. Please select the registration option below that corresponds with how you would like to attend. \nTo attend the program IN-PERSON: Register Here (IN-PERSON)  SOLD OUT WITH WAITLIST \nTo attend the program ONLINE VIA ZOOM: Register Here (ONLINE/ZOOM) \n__________\nDate:   December 7th\, 2024 \nTime:   9:00 AM – 12:30 PM (Eastern Time) \nLocation:  River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation | 6301 River Road | Bethesda\, MD  20817Program Cost: Tara is deeply committed to making these invaluable teachings as widely accessible  as possible\, particularly to members of underserved and marginalized communities.  There are multiple tuition levels for this event\, please choose the one that feels right for you: \n\n$125 – Benefactor – When you choose this tuition level\,  your extra contribution helps us to provide financial assistance to those who might not otherwise be able to attend.\n$100 – General Admission – This tuition level covers the cost of the program\, staff and dana for the teachers.\n$85 – Financial Need Discount – This tuition level is for those who are experiencing  financial hardship and are unable to afford the general admission rate for the program.\n$65 – Livestream Only – Participate in the daylong workshop from wherever you are via Zoom.\n\n***Limited scholarships are available and will be prioritized based on need and for members of underserved and marginalized communities. Scholarships must be requested by 11/20. Recipients will be notified by 11/27. Here is the link to apply. \n__________\n  \nRefund  Policy: All Refund Requests must be made via the “Request Refund” option in your Eventbrite account. For the in-person event\, refunds must be requested by December 1\, 2024. There will be a $35 administrative fee\, and the balance will be refunded to your original payment method. Refunds will not be available after December 1st. For the livestream only portion of the program\, you may request a refund up to 24 hours before the program start. Eventbrite processing fees are not refundable.
